Prudential plc hosts IFRS 17 investor briefing

Prudential plc hosted an IFRS 17 investor and analyst briefing. Its audited 2022 IFRS 17 results were in line with previous guidance. Group shareholders' equity increased to US$18.9 billion at the 1 January 2021 transition date, adjusted operating profit for 2022 was US$2.722 billion, and the contract service margin balance at the end of 2022 was US$20 billion. IFRS 17 took effect on 1 January of that year and will form the accounting basis for the group's 2023 half-year results.
