Prudential plc Announces 2024 First Half Results

Prudential plc announced its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2024, with new business profit of US$1.468 billion and adjusted operating profit of US$1.544 billion, up 1% (8% at constant exchange rates) and 6% (9% at constant exchange rates) year-on-year respectively. The company proposes an interim dividend of 6.84 US cents per share, up 9% year-on-year, and will initiate the first phase of its US$2 billion share buyback program. The company maintains its target of 15% to 20% compound annual growth in new business profit from 2022 to 2027 and remains confident in achieving its 2027 financial and strategic goals.
