Prudential Group Leadership Update: Mike Wells Announces Retirement

Prudential Group announced that Group Chief Executive Mike Wells will retire at the end of March 2022 and will not stand for re-election as a director at the next Annual General Meeting. Mark FitzPatrick, currently Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, will serve as interim Group Chief Executive, while the Board concurrently searches for a permanent Group Chief Executive based in Asia. This leadership transition also includes personnel changes for the Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer roles, with all appointments subject to regulatory approval from the Hong Kong Insurance Authority.
