Prudential Announces International Placing and Hong Kong Public Offering of New Shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange

Prudential announced the issuance of new shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange through an international placing and a Hong Kong public offering, aiming to raise funds equivalent to no more than 5% of its issued share capital, approximately 130.8 million shares. The Hong Kong public offering initially plans to issue around 6.5 million new shares, exclusively for Hong Kong residents, with an offer price not exceeding HKD 172 per share and a board lot size of 50 shares. The proceeds are expected to be used to redeem high-interest debt and supplement the group's liquidity. The relevant prospectus documents are expected to be released around September 20, 2021.
