Prudential's 2024 first interim dividend to offer scrip option

Prudential has launched a scrip dividend option for its first interim dividend of 2024 (6.84 US cents per ordinary share), with new ordinary shares issued only on the Hong Kong share register. Shareholders unable to hold shares on the Hong Kong register may participate through a share dealing mechanism. The scrip dividend option requires approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority, the London Stock Exchange, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and the Singapore Exchange for the listing and trading of new shares. The deadline for Hong Kong shareholders to elect the scrip dividend is 4:30 PM Hong Kong time on September 30, 2024.
