    HKEX Derivatives Clearing House to accept Chinese government bonds, policy bank bonds and Ministry of Finance bonds as non-cash collateral from November 2026

    HKEX announced that its wholly-owned subsidiaries, the on-exchange derivatives clearing houses Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited (HKCC) and Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (SEOCH), will, starting from November 2026 and subject to regulatory approval, include Chinese government bonds, policy bank bonds held under Northbound Bond Connect, and offshore bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance in the scope of eligible non-cash collateral to cover margin requirements.
